Windows Movie Maker

Having played with windows movie maker in the past, I feel I can use the program without much problem. At (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAqMsxnSU6c) you can see one of my previous videos. I feel that windows movie maker has similar elements to Adobe Flash mostly in the timeline. Windows Movie Maker is a more primative tool compared to Adobe Flash, but I feel that it has helped make Flash a little easier to learn.

IPL2

So my project for my Internet Foundations class was to research the IPL2 (Internet Pubic Libary). This resource is very interesting as it claims to be the most reliable information you can find on the web. So I proceeded to look up "How long do zombies live?" with no success. My first thoughts must be since it is really a fake topic there would be no legit answer. So I decided to search something else something I could find a concrete answer to. I chose "Why do we wear green on St. Patrick's day?" due to the holiday just passing. With this reasonable answer: "In the United States, it's customary to wear green on St. Patrick's Day. But in Ireland the color was long considered to be unlucky, says Bridget Haggerty, author of The Traditional Irish Wedding and the Irish Culture and Customs Web site.

As Haggerty explains, Irish folklore holds that green is the favorite color of the Good People (the proper name for faeries). They are likely to steal people, especially children, who wear too much of the color. " for the specific URL. I was impressed myself its well worth the look.

New Internet Explorer

In case you havent noticed by all the browser updates for firefox IE and safari, there are new versions out! New features include but are not limited to the new Compatibility button. The compatibility button allows you to view pages designed for older versions with the click of a button. "You're just a few mouse clicks away from driving directions, word translation, sharing your web discoveries with friend and more. Accelerators help you do the things you do all the time without having to open up a new window. So you can speed through everyday browsing tasks, like getting a map to a business address or forwarding a link to a friend." Comes directly from their home page at (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx). Have a look if your feeling bored or you just want to know whats new with IE.

Absolute Path-
Absolute paths refer to the very specific data line pointing directly to your website. The absolute path is also often referred to as the URL.
Relative Path-
Relative paths are used more frequently than absolute paths and are used when you need to link to another page within your site or include an image or something else from your own site.
A storyboard is a diagram of a Web site‘s structure showing all the pages in the site and indicating how they are linked together. There are different types of storyboards including Hierarchal, Linear, Augmented and Mixed.
Hierarchal - the pages are linked going from the most general page down to more specific pages.
Linear structure - each page is linked with the pages that follow and precede it in an ordered chain.
Augmented Linear - each page contains an additional link back to the opening page.
Mixed structure -Mixed structures just mean that you have a combination of structures. For instance a mixed structure might be a website with an over all Hierarchal structure with each page being more specific then the last. Each page leads to the next in a linear structure. All the pages have a link to the original page. This would be an example of a website using mixed.
